This day has lasted forever
I strolled thru the morning hours
Feeling the first warmth of summer
And luxuriating in its comfort
By noon I was bored with the warmth
And looking for something to do
I barreled thru lunchtime
Hardly noticing it go by
And afternoon inched along
At its own snail’s pace
Making me feel it would never end
As it continued on its chosen path
Evening crept on cat’s paws
From dusk till fully dark
With no real distinction
Just minutes ticking on a clock
Sleep finally somewhere near
With the day over and done
I finally snuggled in bed with a sigh
To begin a night that would go by
Before it even began, it would end
In the blink of an eye

This is really the way it goes. It seems to take forever to get to sleep, and all of a sudden you wake up and the night's over. Clever.

Sue - this epitomizes my last day here in London, although filling the day strolling around town was fairly enjoyable, it is still taking too long and I can't wait to get back home...

will read more of you when I return,

cheers,
Anthony
