I've seen so much of this heartache in the young and awesome passions of nubile kids.I think because life, to them, is immortal that chances are the adventure they will never pay a debt to...in their minds. Maturity is an eye opener for some and for those kids who took that chance...life's road ends up a little more responsible and at a younger age. It robs youth and taints the path for the future sometimes. Thanks for your poem. I've preached this for many years and with your words...it supports this truth.

This is first rate, Sue. You are a class act whose down-to-earth approach belies rapier perception, wit and sassy style. You capture with such seeming simplicity the depths and agonies, the highs and the lows of day-to-day life, yet always in a way which leaps off the pages with brightness and colour.
