Okay, where did I get it?
Someone gave it to me
And I promise I won’t give it back
But it’s just not my time for this right now
I’m too busy
And I just can’t take the time
To do it justice
To really do it right
You have to spend a lot of time in bed
Getting really, really hot
You have to moan and groan
While your stomach turns to knots
You have to take the time
And time I just don’t have
So whoever gave me this damned flu
I wish you’d waited till next week
When I could really do it right

Jaysus. The gift that keeps on giving--sorry to hear you're sick.
Hope you get to feeling much better soon.
I feel your agony in each word--very painfully (but well written) expressed ickiness (the flu is icky, not the poem. THAT'S excellent!)
love, Karla. :)
