I wish I could tell you
How much it means to be able to say these words
To put my feelings into verse
For someone else to share
To let my emotion run like liquid
Through the lines on the page
To breathe the fresh air of understanding
As I hang these feelings out to dry
You invigorate my life
With all the sharing
You put lightness in my step
With all the words you portray
You are as important to me as the lover I write about
As the friend I cherish
As the air I breath
You are part of my life
And I adore you

Sue,
What a great way to express yourself to AD
and the ones you care about so deeply!
Excellent poem too! Exquisite piece of
poetry in fine form.

Sue -
What a wonderful expression of your feelings towards the talented poets. I've ben gone in what seems like forever but there are so many familiar names still here, and I know that among those are some true hearts. People who would stick with you through thick or thin. Funny how hearts can connect even though thousands of miles may seperate the writers.

Excellent write!

The last line of this poem reminds me of my youth when I told my my mother: "I don't love you ----------- I adore you." She quickly replied: "Adoration is only for God."

A nice clean write that says a lot about poets and their personalities towards each other and themselves.

I think most of the folks here understand where you are coming from, Sue. It is a nice thing to be able to have our efforts commented on. Some have maintained that AD is only a "vanity" site and that there are no in-depth reviews here. The thing is, we here at AD tend to leave that nit-picking stuff to other sites, perfering to encourage rathar than chastize poets. What's that saying, "You can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar." Or something like that. Good write.

Very nice. The writer still has to bring the poem "alive" to find those reviews...

This is a very warm show of affection for the folks here at AD. It's easier for me to show my work to people I don't know and will probably never see.

Sue,
If all were as honest and open with how they foresee things as you are in your writes, there would be a millions of things that would be so much better...
You are forever welcome for every review I leave!
