The Tease...

Mother Nature…she is such a tease
She pushes her buds in your face
And then hides them under snow
She spreads her leaves open wide
Then covers herself in modest frost
She offers her delights for a second
Then takes them away for months
She teases and she pleases
And there is no one else like her
She is your favorite concubine
And your hated enemy
She lets you make your bed
But makes it too hot for you to lie in it
She creates your dreams
And inspires your poetry
She offers the world
In all its glory
But don’t ever forget
She is just a tease
You will never own her
You can never possess her
You can only enjoy her
Or hate her
Acording to her moods
She is such a tease

But she is certainly beautiful, when her head is white with snow, or golden with the fall leaves.
Your poem is also so beautiful, thanks for sharing

Yes, she's quite the emotional coquette, playing with our lives!

Tease may be but it is tease that really makes life exciting. Where will we be if there is no teasing? Need some fun too, Sue. But you made it a beautiful poetry and it flows so well to hold the reader spellbound and smiling. Do read my today's poem, Sue.

Sue,
Nature holds us in check. She can most assuredly wave her wand and get us to do exactly the predictable...but we have no control over her at all. Yes, she does tease..and she does it with a magical flair!
Excellent poetry Sue!

EXCELLENT!! Just wonderful poetry, Sue, and yet so easy and "chatty" in its style. Fantastic concept, mood and tone. Love this flirtatious piece and the angle that this Mother can also be Coquette. And don't she bring out that side of our nature's too?! I am keeping this - one of your best, I think - and there have been a few! Bit of a Bunny Girl write this seems to me - do you have them in America?! TY LOL Kate xx

This is so funny, yet so true, and so funny and so sad, and soooo much...oh well, she is like us, or are we like her? Thnx Sue for sharing, I enjoyed this very much. May the Lord be with you, and at your side always. With much love, peace, & (((HUGS))), your very dear friend in Wisconsin, and sister in Christ our Lord,

Sue,

Unless she visits Texas; then she's a full bore monster LOL

As you can tell, I hate Texas weather--it's either too hot or too cold (HA!), too dry or too rainy, DEFINATELY too stormy...and here I am, in Tornado Alley, and there are no freaking basements! LOL

Send me to Alaska, where the only thing I'll see is snow and perhaps a bear and the Northern Lights. :)

Enchanting write--enjoyed your Natural display rather than what we had last night JAYS whatta storm!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)
