My days of depression seem to have ended with age, or something but i still remember what it felt like when the gray days were coming...
I知 trying too hard
It always happens
These days before the darkness
I want to make use of the light
To say all I can say
Before the words fade
Into the gray of depression
Hurry hurry
I知 late, I知 late
Said the white rabbit
As I spiral down that rabbit hole
Eat me, eat me
The pills cry out to me
One will make me big
The other will make me small
And the best will keep me
From being anything at all
And so I try too hard
To say something meaningful
While I still
Can say anything at all

Great write! It hits around 43-44, right Sue? I remember the 'dark forties' days. Took awhile to get through that tunnel. But we emerge and find our power and 'run with the wolves', thank God!
It must be torture, and the drugs only mask the problem. I am glad you are doing better, Sue. We all have our ups and downs, but most of us don't have the extreme chemical imbalances that those who suffer from cronic depression do.
