Quietly she slipped into his room
Sure no one would notice
If they saw her leave
After the deed was done
Drawing her dagger
From beneath her robe
She walked to where he slept
She stood there a moment
Looking longingly at the man who made her a woman
This nobody
Who made her complete
The man who took her to heights of passion
She had never dreamed of
Who cried her name in moments of pleasure
Making her heart soar
With love
With that thought she plunged the dagger
Into his heart
Killing all her desires
Along with the man
Because she loved him so much
And she could never
Allow any man
That much power over her
She was Bath-sheba
The most desirable of all women
It was she who controlled
She who manipulated
Had she not lured
David
To rid her of Uriah
And then to marry her himself
Her sons would rule
She could allow nothing
Certainly no man
To interfere with the power
She craved
She could never allow him to live
Owning her heart
As he did
She had too much to lose
And she was not a woman
Who liked to lose
anything

You can't write to save your own life. Post your stuff when you've grown up some. Stay fishing. Perhaps the gilled ones can appreciate your romper room idiocies a bit better than the likes of me. Teen poetry is better spent on 9/11 boo hoo bull...

good point eileen, i should have mentioned that this is fiction, nothing in the Bible, like my angel poems, i just make up what i think is possible for the character and go with it.
