I can’t
I try
I give it my all
I flounder
I recover
And I try again
But I just can’t
Why
I don't know
I just can't
Can you

I try and try again, but all I get are negatives that make me cry. I floundered, and I tried to recover, but couldn't. The world seems to me to be a place where everyone wants things their way, or no way at all. For the minority of us who accept those who are different, God has blessed a thousand fold. For those who can love, even the smallest creatures, God has blessed a thousand fold. For those who have a kind word, instead of beratings, God has blessed a thousand fold. "I pass this way but once, if there is any good I may do, let me do it now, for I may never pass this way again."

The members of AD have given me courage to fight for what I need. And maybe someday, I will succeed. I have asked God, through His Son Jesus, to give me friends who will accept me for me. He has given me that here at AD. I asked God that through His Son Jesus, he give me an accepting and loving family. He has given me that, but there are those in my family who would destroy me in a heartbeat, if it were legal.

If I could only work at a job that I could make enough money in one year to complete my life. I will write a poem as to why that isn't so right now. To be whole and complete in body and soul, is a morale thing with those like me.

Thnx sis for being there for me, with understanding, words of advice, and reviews of my writings. I appreciate everything you and the others here do for me. Even though not every member of AD may accept me for me, there are those who do, and that even if it were only one, it would make my heart very happy. I get depressed, because it has taken way too long to even start a physical transition. I get sad because of the lost years of my adolescence, where I was not allowed to grow up. I think way too much of how I should have had the courage to demand my life, when I was younger, and get angry at myself for not having that courage. My therapist tells me all of this is normal, but to look forward, and quit regressing.

I cry, complain and ask, in my poems, why has it taken so long. I live in my stories of sweetness and caring. Maybe one day all of what I write in my stories, will come true...maybe. enehoo, thnx sis for sharing. This is a very profound and poignant write.

Thnx sis for letting me vent a little.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, stubborn to a fault, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your very sad and very terrified little sister, Barbie

"If I have to be this girl in me, Then I may as well be."

Sounds like the huffs and blows that I give out when trying to get a tight lid off a jam jar... and before the "language" and brickbat take over!! Well, they say that silence is golden, and there is time and space enough when nothing is the most profound and intelligent thing to say. Not sure I have ever learnt that one myself yet, though. Obviously still too insecure! Love this concept and would go down well in a monastic setting, perhaps?! Meditative, thank you! :)) LOL Kate xx

Best not to write every day Sue! or there'll be re-writes ahead.

I just got rid of about fifty poems lately, written too
quickly and now disowned. Good luck!
