I've got a birthday coming up in a couple of months and they seem to be piling up on me...
I’m scared
I feel like I’m on a merry go round
Where every day spins past
Faster than the one before it
Years whiz by
Leaving hardly an impression
The older I get
The faster it goes
Spinning
Out of control
I hate getting older
But the alternative
Scares me even more
I just want time to slow down
Give me a chance
To get used to the idea
But for now
I’m scared
