Stop it
You can’t go
And you won’t stay behind
Words pile on top of one another
And reading
Becomes something too harsh
And too disciplined for this world
This havoc
You created with your mind
Poems
You call this poetry
I call it life
Something to breathe
Food for the soul
Because after all
You can’t go
And I’d never leave you behind
Words
Completion of a sort
Ending what
And for what reason
Just words

I love the way you define and represent writing and poetry so easily and yet with so much passion and conviction. Beautiful poem Sue.

Poetry is just as you've described, Sue, and I love these lines:
"I call it life
Something to breathe
Food for the soul"

Very well done!
Love,
CJ
