A lonely roach crawl slowly up the wall

Tossing her clothes on a rickety chair
she crawled onto the stained and
sagging bed
next to the stained and sagging man
who awaited her
she closed her eyes and prayed for it to be over
for him to not ask her name
why she was here
just do it and go away
she was 14 today
and she should have been in dress of silk
blowing birthday candles from a
cake with pink icing
but instead she was here
in a hell hole in some stinking city
losing her virginity
for twenty dollars cash
because her baby sister
was at home crying
because they had no milk
Note: Children are never old enough to decide to become sexually active with an adult, it is abuse plain and simple whether it is prostitution or seduction! I wrote this in protest of this kind of situation, not to exploit it, i hope you all know that!

A very true write hun...it's all easy to oppose but the circumstances play a very important role. I just pray that no one feels so deprived to reach this level of downgrading onself. Truthful write, loved it!
