Always whispering, barely audible
A tantalizing sound I can’t quite hear
Always touching, a light caress
Like a gentle breath on my skin
Sensed but not quite felt
Laughter, thrilling in its glee
Echoing in my mind, not ever
Reaching my ears, distant and vague
Thus is love, it seems to me
Always illusive, just out of reach
I like your thought much better than I do mine! Wonderfully penned. Lisa
