We fell in love
Walking on the boardwalk
Ocean breezes blowing sand
Gently in our faces
Our hearts beating a tattoo
As our bodies leaned toward
One another
Magic music played distantly
Morrison and Jagger
Background for passion to come
We explored Venice
As we would later explore one another
On a nearby rooftop
Stars twinkling overhead
1972 had just began
But it would live
In our hearts forever
