Were he alive, Daddy would whistle in the garden, read his Bible, yodel, tinker with broken gizmos until they were once again humming and useful, play with his great grandchildren and always love his family
Were he alive, we would bake lemon pie, and drink sweet tea
Dear Molly I hope I do not have to go through this as my parents are now in their 80s and I know that time is bound to come eventually. I can only wish we did not have to grow old and disappear from the face of the earth. A wonderful and fitting tribute to your Daddy.

The memories you shared are good ones . hH must have been an exceptional dad! I lost my dad in 1960. He was only 50 when he left us. My mom died in 2002 at age 94....M
