Saddening that so many men treat love as an emotion for half-time entertainment and then walk away. Whatever happened to dedication and commitment? And in so many instances, his discarded partner is left with children to raise without a father's presence. Just look at the broken homes in our society and the grief they bring to so many.
My dear Linda, this is your first work that I have read. I will not miss you again. You bring to the forefront a serious problem in society. Instant gratificaton. Fish and chips. Overnighters. One-night stands. Quicky marriages. C'mon fellas, get serious with life. I tell you from the standpoint of a 55-year marriage, there's nothing like it in the world.

Talk about cold shivers, this one sent goose bumps up and down my arms and a tear to my eyes. A sad but loving poem for sure of mistakes made but forgiveness granted, well done Linda.
This poem certainly has a lesson for all. There is nothing more precious than someone's love, and if we're fortunate enough to have it, God grant us the wisdom to hold onto it.

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
