What’s the matter world? Why do you look so sad? Why do you look so ill? Have you got a temp’rature? Have ya got a chill? It’s a shame the cure for you isn’t just a pill. What’s the matter world-today? What’s the matter world? Are you tired of all the people ripping out your plants? Are your trees like hair to you? Do you think that we are cruel cutting them at every chance ? Are they how you breath,perchance? What’s the matter world? Is your oil just like your blood? have we stolen all you love are your tears about to flood? Where’s your blossom (your rosy cheeks?) Of all your creatures, are humans... the freaks? Are OUR bomb blasts on your face turning you into a waste? Are we blasting your future into a paste? Are we disturbing your peaceful sleep? Do you trust us with your keep? Do we hear you when you weep? Are you sorry that we're here? Do you wish we'd disappear? What’s the matter world? World-what’s the matter? Do you feel weak when we bleed your veins? Is there any gold, or coal, or silver,that remains? Do you feel like you’re a pile of used-up empty drains? Do you feel like you’re in chains? What’s the matter world? World?What's wrong? Have we left cement upon your skin? Do you WANT to cry, or, just-Not spin? Do you want US-GONE? What’s the matter world? What’s the matter world? Do you think we should have LEFT your pretty flowers to grow? And your rivers? Do you think we've poisoned them and spoiled their flow? Do you wish we'd ALL -just GO? What’s the matter world? Have I asked too much? Have I made you feel a little worse? Are you dying from our car fumes? Do you think ‘us’ humans are -a curse? What’s the matter, World? What! And- if you try to answer me, will I hear your whispers as you speak? For I'm sure your strength grows weak. Are your whispers only for the meek? Speak. Yes World,I hear you,I do. l see your pain and acid rain your disdain frowns through (your heartbreak too) I write this poem for you, because, I know it's true that You DO MATTER,WORLD.

Yes, the world does matter...and many are so cruel, I cringe when I see people who litter the beautiful gift that we have been give by our Lord to live upon, I also think that He sheds a tear of sorrow when he see's how people treat mother earth, uprooting her beauty and robbing her riches...I too am very passionate about our earth and believe that it is our moral and Christian duty to take care of her instead of tear her down...great write!
