Castle of Stirling

The fortified hill on the river

The Monarchs of Scotland did delight

Many a faithful warrior died

Making the enemy take flight

Such beauty is the castle

As you look out to the Froth

As it meanders through the level country

Betwixt Stirling and the sea

Its beautiful curves and winding sweep

 Exquisite as the Ochil hills

Forms a dim receding background

Of overwhelming purple majesty

Many a ballad was sung of its beauty

As the castle sits majestically

Telling stories of battles won and lost

As the Royals looked on greedily
