Goddess of Night

Goddess of night, hear my cries
I have suffered in this existence
Only you can make me whole
How dare I call on thee
To make a difference
In this mortal body
How dare you listen
To my sorrowful cries
And not lift a finger
To heal the ache inside
I have been your servant
I have heeded your calls
Yet when I call upon you
You’re no where at all
Do you think this mortal shell
Can heal itself, yes, but only with time
This mortal shell will bend and break
The soul will remain strong

Goddess of night, hear my cries
I turn to thee in fear
What I’ve become
A monster among men
I asked for immortality
I begged for an eternity
I walk the night alone
I've feasted upon the blood of a thousand men
Who should have never been born
I shall not take from innocents
They do not know of me
Yet, I haunt their dreams
To walk into the sunlight
Would be my undoing
The instinct to survive too strong
The pain I suffer and inflict
As it never ceases
Becomes my battle song

Goddess of Night, hear my cries
I suffer in my existence.
