'were attacked by the whole nest'

Poem Artwork

Went out Potter Wasp hunting

with my pachyderm and gun

To protect myself from getting

stung, took my anti-venom,

Ain't I smart . . . !

Hey W.A.S.P. Man, what did

you kill? Nothing yet, I haven't

worked up the nerve; I'm afraid

I'll get hurt - deep in my back

yard, yikes . . . !

All of a sudden, me and my

pachyderm were caught with

our trunks down; so Captain

Orkin zapped the Potter Wasp

between the eyes . . . !

The A.S.P.C.W. asked if to kill

was a sin; but when I stood

tall in the howdah, my mommy

stuck her nose right in - Mom,

you're embarrassing me . . . !

But Mr. Potter Wasp gave off

a warning before he died; we

were attacked by the whole

nest - somebody please get

me my Mercurochrome . . . !

'2008' RLS

Hey, Lance, I mean Buffalo Bill,

"What did you kill...Zap! right between the eyes."

Great stuff, Lance. Reminding me of my pet wasps that have taken up residence between my outer and inner bedroom windows, and who return each Spring-time like clock work to bring new life to my view, until all of the new wasps have been born and then they all fly away again. Thanks for the memories! --- Rockie

BTW, Can't buy Mercurochrome in the USA anymore, know where I can get some? jrc
