'That’ll bring us back to Dough (cha-ching)'

Poem Artwork

Okay, let’s start at the beginning

Sounds like a good place, right?

When you sing begin with dough

ray-me; these are the three notes.

Let me make this easy; ready, set, go

Dough, a buck, some green stuff

Ray, a bone in a shark’s fin – yikes!

Me, a conceited name I call myself.

Fargo, a place in North Dakota

So, what, who really cares

Law, long arm you better surrender

Tee, a golf ball place to lie.

That’ll bring us back to Dough (cha-ching)

Dough-ray-me-Fargo-so-law-tee-dough

So there!  Now children, these are the

Only tools we use to build a song.

Have them memorized – you’ll later be

Tested; one word for every note and when

You know them, whistle them anywhere

If you get any strange looks, don’t blame me!

Now you see what you’ve done – I’m now

Whistling this tune everywhere, even on

Dates; they all look at me like I’ve lost it

I call it quits – no more eating toadstools!

You should try some toadstitos with salsa. They, like this poem, are very ribbiting!

Enjoyed your clever banter, Lance!
