'Down goes another vessel . . . '

Two fish in the seawater An unsuspecting tanker Gruesome – no survivors Periscope up to inspect Lurks beneath once again. U-Boat 33 captain plots Finds new shipping lane Down goes another vessel Unterseeboot surfaces Machine guns survivors. Naval ship sent to sink Nothing shows on radar Two torpedoes dispersed Ship zigzags – fish miss Counter-measures launched. Estimates last German position Depth charges spank the water Explosions quite deafening Criss-cross to be more effective U-Boat 33 now miles away. Ultimate prize – Qe2 awaits Unterseeboot surprise visit Surfaces and readies deck gun Passengers horrified at view Skeletons in WWI uniforms. Were suppose to be all dead U-Boat 33 was sunk in 1918 This is 2009 – 91 years later “Wertsachen oder versenkt werden muss!” Translation: “Valuables now or be sunk!” Exploratory ship sent to confirm U-Boat 33’s final resting place Sat at the bottom in shallow water Divers very aghast – return to surface Brought up Qe2’s passengers cache. ‘2009’ RLS

From my limited knowledge of first world war German U-boats & such, I didn't think they machine gunned survivors, though I know some of the later WW2 German subs did it...either way I like this, be it fiction or not & I love the pic you chose for it...Ed
