'in the woods she carried a basket'

Poem Artwork

A major babe called Little Red

carried a bean-shooter and a

cell Ameche; wore a red cape

and had legs that went from

here to there and back again.

When the coppers saw her they

did more than sweat bullets; all

their shirt-buttons popped and

wanted to do more than slap

the bracelets on her wrists.

Now Little Red and her droppers

like to chisel wolves; in the woods

she carried a basket and played a

damsel in distress; when a wolf

approached they filled him with lead.

They even dry-gulched animal rights

activists; then dusted in their SUV

left no clues; called themselves The

Mint Jelly Gang ‘cause they were

always on the lamb.

Hid out at Little Red’s Grandma’s

house which was now under hammer

and saw surveillance; waited for the

gang to appear; made a raid; but all

they found inside was the Big-bad Wolf.

Had a tooth-pick in his mouth; the

Johns inquired; “They were mighty good

with gravy,” answered the Wolf as he

smacked his lips; Moral: ‘A wolf is known

by the company he eats’.
