Once upon – an old farm
Mother duck, eggs hatch
Except for one, big yolk
Six ducklings, one suspect
Was gray in color . . .
Ate a lot – big appetite
Grew fast, was quite big
Animals in the barnyard
were disappearing at
quite an alarming rate . . .
Especially liked the water
Could say that it was in the
‘swim’ of things – it’s sisters
and brothers still made fun
“You are no duck . . . ”
Was criticized by its’ mom
in addition too – “Son,
you’re one ugly duckling!”
Brought it to tears, “We
will see who’s ugly . . .”
Next day out for a dink in
the pond – its’ sisters and
brothers disappeared one
by one, then the mom; oh my
what could it be . . .
All that lived in, or used the
pond became a tasty treat for
this ugly duckling, or should I
say Bull Shark; The Moral:
“There’s always a catch . . .”
