It’s the little things,
I love about you,
The way you say;
"Hey hey..."
And I know something important
Is coming my way...
The inflections in your voice,
The way you dip your head,
When you smile,
The sound of your laughter
Stays with me for a while...
I smile when I think of it,
it’s a lovely sound,
I miss it so much,
When you're not around...
You ease back the night,
And my world is not so dark,
You bring with you the light,
I feel my heart,
Start beating again,
At a quicker pace…
My blood begins to race-
And I smile,
For the first time all day-
Just talking to you,
Makes me feel this way...
"Hey, hey..."
I hear you say...
"What?”
I reply,
Only to hear you say;
"I love you..."
And all I can do is smile
and whisper back;
"I love you too..."
