Are you still the same as you were Before Each new day lost its charm The sun lost his warmth The moon lost her luster The stars were extinguished One by one as my tears fell on them The birds ceased their songs Morning and night Became the same Days became insignificant Life lost its luster Became mere existence?
Are you still the mystical goddess Who enchanted my spirit My mind My soul With an aura of acumen I’d never acknowledged in anyone else?
I am a rudderless ship On an uncertain sea Without your presence Please pardon the clichés
I would settle for a telepathic thought From you Or a fragment of a dream
I shall not talk of love Of your heart-stopping beauty For these are for another time Another realm
REGIS...YES! A MASTERFUL PRELUDE...A DELICIOUS PIECE OF CAKE, WHICH LEAVES ONE 'YEARNING' FOR MORE... FOR THE 'ICING', THE WORDS ABOUT "...HEART STOPPING BEAUTY AND LOVE..." WELL DONE AND SO APPRECIATED. LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
Regis this is Heart wrenching. The way you have the way the heart darkens is remarkable. tears putting out all the stars. Just answer me with telepathy. This is aboslutely amazing and so sad. written truly from a darkened, broken heart. Are they still the same? Good question.
I love this. Absolutley Love it.

You are penning emotions with great delicacy here, Regis. Isn't it terrible to wake up one morning to notice that something has changed - suddenly gold has lost its shine. Is the change in us or the other person? You are raising wonderful questions in your deeply honest poem. Take care, Franz

Lovely poem Regis, exposing love still haunting a soul.
Peace to you my friend,
Reg.
i may have missed you friday but i wouldn't have missed this for the world, it is one of the most romantic, wistful poems i have read in a long time and the form you use flows off ones tongue...this is truly excellent poetry
How DO you do this, Regis?! Even in the most disarming of apologetic, you are totally sincere, totally lucid and vulnerable. Totally brilliant diamond-write as usual that emites piercing rays straight into heart and mind - even whilst you express feelings of being, perhaps, "dulled by pain". Your poetry is never a blunt instrument... I am reminded that diamonds are in fact used in some way in the performing of heart surgery: can't figure quite how, but your words seem to have the same effect! Your stripped-bare-and-naked writes bring out the lover, mother, friend and sister in all us girls, for sure! Just melting, Regis, thank you. LOL Kate xx
hi Regis. where've you been? this one captivated me, swept me off my feet then left me stranded at sea with the searchlights on. loved the "I would settle for..."

Wonderful, Regis!! You really put the poignant melancholy into this autumn seasons windy-twisty flavor... The slow, sad memories were palpable and aching.
