The absence of some, even if only temporary, leave the soul reeling on the edge of... ...and in this case it is society's prejudices that have caused this situation.

Hiatus

In my dream
You had come back
From the dark unknown
I held you
I basked in your light
I woke
I wept
My sobs echoed
In the chasm
Of your absence
I wait

Out of unconditional love, they wait...and wait...worry consumes, dreams and tears are the only release...and then, eventually so distress we surrender to devotional prayer!

REG ---

U sure it ain't just "acid reflux" ????

just kiddin'! very well done! i like it!

several questions come to mind: did she just leave you?
like when my wife divorced me. or did she actually die? that, my friend, is always much tougher, as there is absolutely no recourse available, except the passage of time.

but, if she just left - then I have to agree with Jeannette - FILL THE VOID WITH ANOTHER!

Remember the song lyrics: "...just wishin', and hopin' and prayin'..." --- I USED TO DO THAT INITIALLY! go read my "METAMORPHOSIS"!

But now, almost 7 years later, after meeting and dating other women, some better, some worse, I NOW WOULDN'T TAKE HER BACK IF SHE WAS ON HER KNEES BEGGING! WHY?

Not to be vindictive, in any way - rather, I have learned through trial and error a basic TRUTH - EVEN THOUGH I DEVOTED 36 YEARS OF MY LIFE TO HER, we grew apart and were NO LONGER SOULMATES! IT WAS TIME FOR 'MOVIN' ON!'

NEXT! BATTER UP! WHO'S ON DECK? WHERE'S THAT OCEAN FULL OF FISH?

CHASMS CAN BE CROSSED BY BUILDING NEW ( AND MAYBE EVEN BETTER ) BRIDGES!!!

GO SLAY SOME NEW DRAGONS AND SAVE SOME NEW DAMSELS IN DISTRESS -- PIECE JUST MIGHT FOLLOW !!! OOPS! DID I REALLY MEAN PEACE ?

TOM.
