Memories of someone who has changed one's life never fade away... ...neither does true friendship. In spite of this world's best efforts at ruining them, I believe that love and friendship can endure.

Gazelle*

Sometimes I think
I dreamed up Gazelle
In the profundity
Of a moonless night in June
But I know it cannot be so
For I remain mesmerized
By the depth of her emerald eyes
Enchanted by her intoxicating scent
Charmed by her sensual touch
Enthralled by her sweet angelic voice
Captivated by her fascinating style
Rapt by her unique personality

It is said that when one loves someone
One must set them free
If it is meant to be
They will come back

End of part one
Now for the sequel
And this long-awaited ending

Gazelle*

Reg,
What a romantic verse. I can remember the days I once felt emotion such as this. Those days are gone. As the love I felt was ripped from me. And though in my heart, I know it is possible to love again, I fear it shall never be so for me and even if it could be, it would never be so well and deep a love. Thank you for the passion you bring forth in your verse.

...and so we wait, the most difficult saga of all!
You can only travel down a one way street for so long and at some point the road takes a different turn, whether it be sharp curves, narrow passes, two-way streets or dead ends
...whatever path you travel, the road to true love is a hard one.

Enjoyed this continued thought of my own today...as my oldest contemplates her one way streets...:(
Love and Peace~

ahhhhhhhhhhh, but the French, the French!! Such an impressionistic write and so full of rich evocation and sensuality. The Gazelle appearing on a moonless June night is highly visual, yet you describe "her" in very human terms. You paint a person and the nature of this sensitive, intuitive relationship in mystical colours, and yet it is so true... love means letting go, as one would any wild animal. You speak of bonds that are felt and maintained on a level deeper than the normal human-social. I love this. It, like you and Gazelle, is special. TY Kate xx

Beautiful Poem, and so true, tender and sentimental, you are of course right that if you love someone that much then it has to be enough to let them go, although that is so very difficult to do,
I hope she comes back to you.
