Who Cares?

I’ve been told
No one cares for someone
Who sheds tears too easily
No one wants to be with someone
Who has an affinity
For black and blue
Who has a penchant
For the gloaming of the day
For rain songs
And the lamenting wail
Of the wandering winter wind
No one cares
Not even you
With your heart full of hollow promises
And superficial love as whimsy
As gossamer on a summer breeze
No one cares
So I’ve been told

POETS ARE EMOTIONAL AND TENDER PEOPLE BECAUSE GOD MADE THEM THAT WAY...AND THERE IS SOMEONE THAT CARES WHEN NO ONE ELSE DOES REGIS, AND I KNOW, YOU KNOW...WHO THAT SOMEONE IS. Regis,
As you know I am very emotional woman with passions of my heart. As for me...my passions are not secluded to one area of emotions or desires.
In my passions of my sorrow like anyone's does hurt & tears fall.
For me it is in a means of releasing the grief, or frustration...it is all good & renewing for acceptance of a lesson towards wisdom & a cherished blessing of our journey to further acceptance.

This is so sad. To live in a great world of people and feel no one cares is equivalent to the bottom falling out of one's life. Yet, we must always remember that loving oneself is not selfish, it is necessary so it serves as a teacher of love that we can send out to others. When we love ourselves, we can look within instead of without when we need to draw on needed strength.

And I have found that to be all too true too Reg. It is a sad day when no one cares about the plight of others, but expects others to care about them. When I lived in Wisconsin no one cared what Barbara had done or was about to do, least of all not her tears. But when I moved to Australia I found that others here do care, and that is a positive thing.

When someone is sad, we should at least ask if anything is wrong. If they say no, then offer a good day to them, and go. But we should at least ask.

May ther Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

I have to say that I agree with Fee here, it's a strange phenomena of human nature to allow ourselves to rest our sorrows on the wrong shoulders or let the wrong ears hear our lamenting. All human beings have the right to lament, this is something that was created within us, or the tear ducts were a big mistake LOL.
Peeps can have their opinions and say what they like, if what they hear isnt something they can deal with, or want to deal with. Tis best to shrug off such fickle responses and seek the counsel of those who have been through the similar situations, therefore are equipped to give a reasonable empathetic response. Sympathy in this life is useless, empathy is what is needed when suffering hits and hits hard, and unless another has walked a mile in the same moccasins,he dont know squat bout you're feeling or needs.
This is something that lifeline counsellors the world over are taught, but they dont get to that position to start with, unless they have a fairly good base knowledge and life with variants to suit.
Pick your shoulders wisely, that is what I tell myself, even though I dont always, but pass it on I will anyway LOL
Peace be with you dear friend,
God bless

Regis,

I believe as writers...we feel more deeply than half the planet. Should an icy-cold heart tell you that you're too emotional, walk away...because they are not the sort who can understand you. This poem captures how society functions as a whole. We say we'll be friends but we never call. We say we care but when we're needed, we're mysteriously absent. If we can find one or two genuine friends throughout our lives...we are truly lucky. I would rather have one genuine friend my whole life than a phonebook full of "superficial" ones! You have moved each reader of this piece - so much so that they offer their own caring thoughts. A mark of true talent! Love and hugs:)
