Do you still wear your honey hair
In a perky pony tail?
Do your emerald eyes still sparkle
When you smile?
Do you still smell like the air
After a summer rain?
Do you still sing
With the voice of an angel?
Does your laughter still sound
Like a brook giddy with melting snow?
Do you still play the piano,
The guitar?
Do you still make your special soup
And take some to your grandma?
Are you still prone to quick anger
Like a sudden summer storm
Yet as swift to offer the reconciliation
Of a rainbow?
Are you still gentle of heart
Abounding in hopes and dreams?

Very nicely written and spoken. There are many times when I think of those who have touched my heart along the way...and secretly hope that during the years, they've kept the small things about them that I like so much. What a wonderful romantic style of words to take one back down memory lane.

It is nice when we can remember the good in others that we miss so much. When people come into our lives, and make a difference, then we remember them for always, even though they have gone on to bigger and maybe better things. This is a very nice tribute to the someone special that you miss in your heart.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this poem proves the adage to be true, for there's a good chance no one else ever looked at this lady just the way you did, Regis. You have a wonderful, gentle, sensitive air about you, and this write shows that perfectly.

A nice poetic reminiscent query about someone you once knew. Like you, I often think of someone out of my past and wonder... The picture really complements the poem.
Unique as the heart whose fabric bears the imprint of the beauty of these moments of capture that you articulate here, Regis. You are mutually special. The feelings shared sound very much to me as if the very same pictures are logged and stored by both souls, each viewing the other. Don't know why I feel this, but the image I am getting is of one photograph, whose images reverse one out of the other, like a black and white negative. Very lovely and very cinematic. Although I know you didn't write it for this reason: this poem could make a ton of money published in a major magazine like Reader's Digest. It is the stuff most people crave - and it hits the mainstream heart - no fringe perceptions here. YET, you've done artistically better and on a higher plane than many poets who sell this stuff by the bookful in Barnes & Noble. Your metaphors and comarisons alone are of a higher order.

I would attest that memory's are shared through time, perhaps at the same sunset/sunrise in reflection of each other, or perhaps just a fleeting thought at different times all together. People jump around in my mind all the time just out of nowhere (or so it seems)
