Uneasy

Something is amiss
On the horizon of my soul
Looking from this abyss
The dawn is unsure
The sun hesitant
As it tries to hide behind ominous clouds
The sky has a culpable aura
The woods are silent
Save for a persistent senile owl
The whisper of the breeze through the trees
Seems somehow sinister
As is the timeless river’s temptation
All is anxiously expectant
In the uncertainty
Of You

It is very strange Reg that you should write these very words, because I am feeling the same towards my latest failure at romance. It is one thing for the soul to sit on the rocks playing the clarinet, and another for the music to be happy. You have written a soulful and heartfelt piece of heartache, of which there is too much of in the world. Thasnk you for sharing Reg.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your sister Barbie

Regis, isn't it strange how the mind can play games with us, leaving us wondering day by day what life has in store for us. I do believe "we" all do this. None of us knows what God has chosen for our lives, all we can do is "expect" the best life has to give, and I do believe God will give it to us. This writing is an exceptional write.

This is excellent-and you say you are not a writer or poet. I doubt somehow that the owl is senile, just still searching. The abyss in the soul is something you can only find the roots to alone-nothing or no one else can "fix" that. Sometimes the unsure dawn and the hesitancy to shine can be magic, the promise of creating your dreams instead of waiting for them. No one should hide behind the clouds, but rather pass through them as best they can. It is interesting that the sky would be culpable, as it is blue and yet grey, too and someone is always to blame. The ending of this makes me wonder, because the whole start of this poem is about you, but the end makes it about someone almost saving you, which is what causes all the ominous clouds and sinister breezes because it is you who has to save you. This is one of your best poems yet. Love it, Regis. Love, Michelle xo
