A True Friend What is a friend of true st kind? The kind that stands the test of time Just what exactly does it mean, To say you are a friend of mine? To be a true friend can�t be learned It�s not a skill, it�s not an art It�s something that was always there True friendship comes from in the heart Sometimes friends can be held near Sometimes they�re half a world apart Some friendships take some time to grow Others take off from the start They�ll have the simple needed words That turn a frown into a smile Regardless of how near or far A true friends words can span the miles If we should call each other friends Then always I�ll be here for you To dry the tear drops from your face For when you hurt then I hurt too Or we can laugh for hours As our happiness we share Come rain or shine dear friend of mine You know that I�ll be there � Jack Roberts � May 23, 2005 ��

This is perfection in poetic form, Jack. What wonderful words you have penned. There is nothing in life like a true friend to help us with a hand up when we stumble and offer us a shoulder when we need strength. Wonderful rhyme!

The closest and truest friends I know or feel close to are my friends here at AD. Never touched or met eye to eye...but some are very dear to me...and I know they will remain friends for life. Even though the feelings might not be mutual...I am speaking from my heart to theirs!!
