Oftentimes, the greatest challenge we face is the ability to stand(for our beliefs, our dreams,and goals) when life's challenges abound.
And Having Done All-Stand ! Life is challenging, demanding much from all. It requires persistence, convictions or you fall Down hard, and getting up takes more of you. Stand therefore, and having done all, stand, no matter what you do! Stand tall, stand firm, stand resolute and sure; Stand by your faith and beliefs that have made your heart pure. Don't become discouraged when life pushes against you; Decide to stand, tall and firm, whatever you do! You will be rewarded here and later By Him who knows all and is far greater Than any problem you will ever have to face. Oh! you must be determined, and courageous to win this race. Do not fret, do not fear; trust in Him Who is always near, and ready to catch you Should you fall; only look to Him, and Avoid every hazard along the way. Stand firm, stand tall, just for today, And, having done all -that you can do- Stand! (c:) 3/2012

I like the repetitive theme in this one. And this is so very true, especially in these trying times we find ourselves in. Look for my roommate's poems on Authors' Den - Her name is Janet Bingham. You both inspire me so much, and that's what it is all about.

I don't believe in �Him,� but I do believe in having a friend who can �Stand by You [Me].� That's what this poem reminded me of.

Dear Barbara, I loved the poem. Here is one Biblical reference, which there are several: 2 Chronicles 20:17
"You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.��
