I am recovering from back surgery. It's my stab at humor about it.
Never thought
I'd see the day
when doing simple things
would just slip away
No longer can I tie my shoes
shave my legs
make sudden moves
but still manage to behave
Be careful not to twist
if dancing's on my mind
but of course, it's how I exist
my favorite way to unwind
Would love to scratch my back
or better yet, pick up a sack
either way must take my time
and killing time is not a crime

i loved those last two lines they bowled me over with laughter yes killing time is not a crime at least not one that can be proven LOL :) Great poem back pain can be so annoying :( but you did such a great job on this poem:)
