The ray of sun shines bright today
a mere wind blows, it's still, betrays
The water feature soft on the ear
a bliss it is, the water clear
The song of a bird so sweet and true
it makes you forget you're feeling blue
As the day unfolds and the flowers bloom
it doesn't cross your mind, soon it will all be gloom
With my eyes shut and my mind a blank, i sit back
enjoying the peace, knowing who to thank
The clouds build up, each with a silver lining
a thunderstorm approaching, a welcome blaring
The first drop of rain comes with such delight
the atmosphere cools down, the clouds and rain, what a beautiful sight
With peace in my heart and a smile on my face, this is my day
what a magnificent day...

Indeed as I saunter through the forest such thoughts invade my mind and are most welcome.
Rhyming couplets too. If you can also read a poem by the rhyming end stoppers then it is normally a well written penn.
Such ease to read and so much depth of beauty in these words, a beauty that many miss in life due to the frantic pace many make for themselves.
