cool night abandoned
in raw rhapsodic movements
of crimson line and
deft strokes

play of light
on purple buds
caressed
in deep blue shadow

flesh to flesh pleasures
steeled at the nexus
of concupiscent rhythms

harmony of color
in motion

released in body accents
of gloss white
and delicate earth green vitalities

climaxed
by the jasmine kiss

of the uninhibited brush

Hi Gene, one would believe that you paint. I'm certain you do, by the texture of this beautiful wee poem. An artist often gets lost somewhere between the brush and the canvas. Truth exists somewhere in there and you express it well.

Gene,
This is appreciation and celebration of all artistic process, a painting of physical intimacy, the creative sexual act...."raw rhapsodic movements" all the way to the "jasmine kiss".
Beautiful approach and concept.

lust upon the artist's canvas -- deftly "the uninhibited brush" accommodates the avenue to climax, with a "jasmine kiss" -- but only when properly, "steeled at the nexus" --hue and brush never provided me with such a delight -- though many deft strokes, "crimson lines" and daubs I have artistically applied to a milky white canvas -- guess I need lessons -- this is great Gene -- it will keep me now forever more alert at my easel! -- peace and love to you my friend --JMW

I sense that the artist/narrator in "art appreciation" is so into creation that it is more powerful than a man and woman having sex leading to orgasm. Dare I say that such moments for artists take place when one merges with the art. Eventually he steps back and glows with satisfaction as if he'd had an orgasm that almost gave him a stroke because the final product of the craft he has nurtured with love/hate is so glowing on that canvas that it is like the internal fire of the sun. Isn't it true that artists can lose themselves in their creation--almost merging with the page; the canvas; the music.
