What's in the past, what's in the present, it comes full circle, just as outside may dictate what's going on inside.

Poem Artwork

Drizzling

Outside

I saw the train passing by

Like some relic from a Western

No tumbleweed

But it was pure

Even the graffiti couldn’t mar

This thing before the traumas

Before Spanish flu

Before the World Wars

Before two Depressions

Before this latest pestilence

And I climbed into my car

Releasing my mask

Wept like heaven

Sweetly dropping

Raindrops on my windshield

Hugging myself

Fetal

Innocent

Vulnerable

When I read anything you have written, I feel like you are delving into my soul. The depths of your emotion are rare.

The handwriting is certainly on the train passing by in the drizzle that exemplifies waiting out the dreariness of not hearing others' laughter in public places, lost in our thoughts and days drag by waiting for this voluntary stopping to end.

Very emotionally presented.

Such admittance of vulnerability is a major void in society today and such emptiness is largely driving our fear temperature higher and higher. Without purging one's hurt and raw feelings, the honesty and integrity of our daily perceptions will succumb further into "looking the other way" inevitably driving our feelings of lostness and futility into a sense of suffocation. Viva the purge!
