With sleep comes the dulling
After so long awake
Reprogramming in the dark
Wires frayed
Melted
Crossed
Sparking
Smoke clouded brain
Like a 1950’s living room
Or bar
No one’s there for health
They’re all there to laugh a bit
As they practice dying
A slow roll out an engineless plane
Hurtling toward earth
In nanoseconds of eighty years
So why sleep?
