Vive la Vie…! (Live the Life…!) Vive la Vie my friend! Digital age to the end! My eyes are really tired, sore and straining Would it have more kudos if I were “Nintendo” brain training? Maybe I should get myself really “Wii” fit Or is there a “Playstation” body detox kit? All this computerisation has many plus sides But the stresses and strains I cannot hide Repetitive stress injuries to my wrists I’ll pen that on “Facebook” – Yes! With a twist Vive la Vie my friend! Digital age to the end! Maybe I should SMS all my friends Or twitter in a chat room that never ends Maybe Sky has back-to-back movies that are exciting Actually, a walk outside sounds much more enticing Fresh air to fill my lungs and a DSLR to capture the essence Can’t wait to get my “Apple” loaded with my digital presence Then I’ll use Photoshop to place me in France And Illustrator to artistically and subtly enhance So what am I worried about with all my aches and pains? It could be worse I could have to commute daily by train When all is said and done, typed, spell checked and saved I’ll be able to savour my dinner that has been gourmet micro waved!! ©Andrea Coltman

It is definately amazing when we stop and take the time to look at how far technology has advanced us in this brave new computer world we live in...some of it is good but like the poem demonstrates none of it can still take the place of the beauty of a simple walk on a summer night.

Great to meet you, Andrea! Being somewhat of a fellow humorist, I love the lighthearted look at what is, to an old fuddy-duddy like me, a very taxing, brave new world!
