well thought this be a good one to post as I try to get back to the den and writing here after a few months off

Crisp north breeze sweeping across the lake

Twisting thru the oak trees

Gray misty sky she sees today

Pregnant clouds hanging carelessly overhead

Nature changing before her eyes

Trees becoming naked

Golden leafs falling to the ground

Forming a rainbow color bed for animals to lie upon

Buffalo grazing lazily in the fields still lush and green

Elk roaming deeper into the woods going into their rut

Squirrels hunting, finding, and hiding their nuts

Geese flying south no time to stop

Summer’s maiden knows it is time for her to rest

As she sees fall’s grander in full glory

Putting her in a peaceful and resting state

Autumn weekend her final resting place

Summer is still doing its thing down here in the swamps, we had record-breaking temperatures yesterday and today. Down here the fall is a misnomer. :oved the poem.

Welcome back!
Fall is my favorite time of the year..the bright and vibrant colors, the cooling of the air..though a bit sad to know that the green will be gone for a bit, it's still a beautiful season.
Glad to have you home!
