Nature's Peaceful Slumber

The end of a day in Northern Canada

Soft winds whirling about
Trees quietly sway
Majestic shadows caress the land
Waters calm for a day

Tranquility lays its blanket
Sunlight closes its blind
Lunar's comforting night light
God's creatures rest for a time.

Beautiful poem of the wonders of the Northland. :) As a misplaced Yankee in Texas, you bring back the memories of my youth in Ohio. :) Well done!
