winged things

Butterfly lovely today

Buckeyes, red admirals, black swallowtails

Fan their wings

then float away.

Dragonflies with compound eyes

breeze by--

bumblebees honey bees

buzz In yellow poppies

 Reviews of "Butterfly Lovely"
Reviewed by Ronald Hull
Reviewed on August 20, 2016
As a kid I swatted them in abundance while walking through fields of wild. Now, I wait for them for hours to appear small numbers, much diminished from my childhood memory.

Yesterday, I thought I saw a monarch on my lantana. It could've been one of those crafty imitators but it was a sight for sore eyes. And then, accompanying this welcome stranger was a beautiful yellow butterfly that I could not name. Aside from the giant swallowtails of last year and once this year, they bring joy to my heart.

Terrorforming Your Environment by RickthePoetWarrior

Never to leave well enough alone our attempts at managing our society, culture, and environment are recycled, re-used, and just generally regurgitated
