White and Green Together

Tall majestic touch the sky

Shades of green meet my eye

Surrounded by fallen leaves

Who’s loss of life she grieves

Lonely in a solemn place

Sadness echoed in her face

Waiting looking to the sky

Makes those around her wonder why

At last it happens the time is near

Erases every bit of fear

The lovely flakes fall one by one

Then altogether laughing, fun

They land upon her limbs so green

So thick and white they can be seen

The ones who make it to the ground

Cover the leaves without a sound

Look all around so fresh and clean

Upon each bush see nature’s gleam

The landscape touched by weather
