I wrote this poem for my niece who built this most awesome and emotionally soothing pond for all who visits her to enjoy.

Cindi’s Pond

I built this pond with sweat and love.
Using my creative talent sent from above.
The tools I used are nature’s gifts.
As I put them together, they gave my spirit a lift.
A small waterfall starts at the top,
and sends trickling water down the layers of rocks.
The flowers encircling the water all around,
adds beauty and invites the bees and butterflies,
to taste the sweet nectar that is all abound.
The soothing water has a relaxing sound
as it continuously flows down
and settles in a small pond dug into the ground.
There’s goldfish, and frogs,
that lives and plays in the water there.
Sometimes the birds scoop down for a drink, before flying back up into the air.
In the daytime the sunshine adds warmth
and glistening light.
While colored lights scattered around
shows off its beauty at night.
This wonderful pond that I created with love, has brought my family, my friends, and myself, many moments of relaxing peace and comfort.
The result is well worth the sweat,
for the joy we get
from sitting for hours listening and looking at such beauty of this sort.
