The fat boy complains about the guidelines for obesity.

Who decides how much I should weigh?
Where’s their authority to say?
Are they also fat like you and me
or just as skinny as they can be?

Do they know they want me to weigh
less than I did on graduation day?
I know I’m fat as fat can be
but I’d look bad at one thirty-three.

I had my feet in the stirrup
until that crazy fructose corn syrup
was placed in everything I ate
which was piled high upon my plate.

It seemed that the tempting food
that looked and tasted very good
was not the thing good for me
but I just couldn’t let it be.

I just don’t like someone fat
wanting to make me like Jack Sprat
with anything short of a knife.
I must settle to be like Sprat’s wife.

Yeah, Larry:

There's something ironic about an obese physician trying to get me to lose weight...

If it's fun, tastes good, gives comfort then it must be illegal and someone will soon find out and if they can't get a law passed then they can find someone to sign off on a new regulation. Love it. Liz

If you might recall, two summers ago, I was in a coma for 8 days and during that time the hospital "flushed" off like a hundred and twenty pounds off of my stout, read VERY fat, frame...Since I have yet to get back to the 280 I was before then, but I am up over 230...But I have also been told that 225 is my "ideal" weight & if I was over 25 pounds heavier (250) then I would be considered obese...what all this means is beyond the realm of my understanding as it is apparently so for you as well...just live with yourself till you die, then you will lose lots of weight...;-) ed

Larry, when you get the answer to that age old question, please let me know...I too am fat...I don't like the 'health' ramifications, but at the end of the day I still like me. What else matters?
Cheers,
Dan
