Pen VS. Pencil.

I fill my pen with freedom

For expression is an art.

You agree, of course, on condemning the erasable pencil?

Shall we live our lives in a dyslexic paradise,

Curled up inside our cocoons of lead?

    Nay, kind sir.

    I’m too educated a woman

    For that blasphemy.

Bilingual, is what I am.

Both languages of Art and Insanity

Have found a haven

Within my soul.

Your Spanish folly amuses me.

The whole world

Appears to exist within a

box of pencils.

    Hush, you say!

It seems you fear my ink.

    Delightful, let’s bathe in it.

THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS …

…

Me?

Funny, I didn’t know Eve was born with a chastity belt.

Besides, you write in pencil.

Fear not the mistake.

You’ve said it yourself:

Permanency is a state of mind.

    Wipe

    My

    Chalk

    Board

    Clean.

Too late, delusional.

These words are for good.

love your expression of life, pen, or pencil, some thoughts to life, and hopefully the words written will bring new life, and joy to help in living.

I've been away and it was my loss.
This is great.
Found myself smiling throughout.
Very insightful and expresses feelings many of us understand and share.
Really nice.

Very nicely done my friend I like the way this argues the validity and worth of the issues. We poets do tend to cling to old ways and proven methods and perhaps that is a good thing. Maybe the world does change too fast.
