I remember the stories of that place. I hope it all works out for you, gal. I can relate to the sentiment, as my career path was dead end and high-stress bosses before my handmade jewelry and teaching opportunities after the relocation. For the moment, I am enjoying the process, but may eventually go back. The difference will be in feeling more confident about my abilities and not settling for a dead end job. For now, I am hoping to make this chance a forever chance. lol. Hugs!

I can identify. It's really unfortunate when it's time to cut loose and you can't because of money. I had to hold out against bad superiors who did not understand my value to the organization until I was 69.

Mary, when I sold my franchise two years ago at age 62 to retire from a type of regular "job" and income, some fear was there but 99% of stress left my life, of course most franchises are very stressful to any owner, much less if you are an older owner like myself. If I only had all the approx. 7.65% FICA X two I paid for all those years in an account drawing interest (as employer has to match the FICA) I at one time figured it to come to several million dollars. Politicians talk like it is their money, which is all gone anyway of course.
