Memories of growing up in Ardoyne during the 1960’s troubles of Northern Ireland .
Remembering The War by Paul McCann . I remember being bombed , I remember being scared , I can ever remember walking away . I remember being shot at . I remember someone said , “As long as you hear the bang you’re ok .“ I remember houses being burned and people being spurned as security forces closed their eye . I remember all my friends who have died and the mothers who have cried. I remember as time goes by . .

Terrible that you had to go through this after World War II and what that did to Europe and the British Isles. But old hatreds die hard. I certainly hope that Ireland is out of the woods these days, but I do sense that some of it is coming back again.

Glad that I don't have terrible memories like that.
