What would you think if it happened to you
And your children and home were destroyed?
Would you believe that the US was right, would their televised war, be enjoyed?
Me, I’d cry without heads on my friends,
I’d go nuts knowing that this was their end,
I’d want to die or make powerful friends.
What would you do with your beloved dead
Would it worry you to be alone?
Would you believe in the US, or fight?
What to loose, once your life had been blown?
No, you’d seek help from despairing new friends,
get crazy, your heart unable to mend
"No more nice guy, my enemys, to end!"
Would you need to act civil?
You just lost everybody you loved.
Could it be anybody?
Sure, as long as your new buddies could shove.
Would you believe that you’d fight till you died
Yes I’m certain—it happens all the time.
What else would you do in the face of such crimes?
Look at Palestine, out of it’s mind.
Oh, I’d get high with a little help from new friends,
Not just cry with a little help from my friends,
Not lay down and die, ‘less I’d lost all my friends.
Would you need anybody?
Just other victims of war.
Could it be anybody?
Only somebody as sore.
What do you do when you’re children are dead
and you can no longer work, love, just drink?
Do you sit down with the mongers that killed
Or vow to find justice or at least make them think?
Oh, you might get by if you still could make friends,
Not just cry with a little help from new friends,
Refuse to die, if you still could have friends.
Give em hell, for the lives that they end
With a little help from my friends,
With a little help from my friends
with a little help from my friends...
