This moment is literal, and occurred
just this last Monday, March 25, 2007
Dedicated to that which is Greater than
Ourselves.
Monday morning dawns business bustling
Computer humming, clock ticking,
phones a-hustling;
I am focused in my fragile
techno-bubble.
A chance sideward glance
out Nature's windowed world--
Her eye captures mine--transfixed!
A Most Graceful Canadian Goose--
her beak a mere window payne apart
from my very nose.
My techno-bubble bursts
like raindrop dew.
As if I am in her petting zoo,
she studies me intently: "Hmmm. . .
average human female, adaquately
kept in. . . well,
stuffy, but acceptable surroundings
for a human, I suppose.
If ever we were to let her out,
I wonder. . .
would she dare to fly!?"
Frankness of Spirit through her gaze
pierces my presence,
sending "Beauty" soaring
to a new dimension in Soul.
I am humbled.
A wondrous encounter, Vicky, and I often wonder what many animals think of me when our paths cross, but in each encounter, I, too, feel both blessed and humbled.
