"Sometimes words can serve me well and sometimes words can go to Hell, for all they do." Harry Chapin.

Better Left Unsaid
By Jim Stewart c 1980

I went out drinking with the boys

I came in at at a quarter to three

And when I got home

Guess who was waiting for me.

Then she opened her mouth

And I began to say

Somethings are better left unsaid,

I went to work late again this morning

And the boss came up to me

He asked me where I had been

What had happened to me?

Then he opened his mouth

And I began to say,

Somethings are better left unsaid.

I woke up this morning

A pretty girl was laying next to me

I asked her how it had been

And she politely told me

Somethings are better left unsaid

Better left unsaid, Better left unsaid.

I love your humor and this really good lesson. I know I say a lot of things are better left unsaid.

Flows like a song - and you're right! I'm reminded of that line from Bambi: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. =] Well done, Jim.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
